Et prospekt og eventuelle tillæg, som er godkendt i et selskabs hjemland, er også gyldigt ved udbud af værdipapirer til offentligheden og optagelse til handel i andre værtslande. Det følger af forordningens art. 24, stk. 1. Proceduren for godkendelsescertifikater findes i art. 25. Hjemlandets kompetente myndighed offentliggør samtlige godkendte prospekter eller en liste over prospekterne sammen med links til dem. Dette sker over en periode på 12 måneder.
