Warning against Alpha Finance

Following the public warning issued by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) on 29 October 2009, the HCMC informs investors for the following:

Alpha Finance, a firm based in London with a web site www.alphafinanceuk.com is not an authorised, regulated or supervised entity by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) and therefore is not authorised to provide investment services in Greece. This firm has no relation with Alpha Finance Investment Services S.A., an investment firm authorised, regulated or supervised by the HCMC. Therefore the HCMC warns investors for possible misuse of the name of Alpha Finance Investment Services S.A.

It is noted that according to article 6 of Law 3606/2007, the provision of investment services without prior authorisation from the competent authorities is not permitted and constitutes an criminal offence, which subject to criminal and administrative sanctions.
