Investor warning Kredittilsynet (The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway) warns against investment offers promoted by FinanstjenesterKredittilsynet has been informed that Finanstjenester has approached Norwegian investors by SMS offering 8,5 % interest on bank deposits. The company also offers services from a website www.finanstjenester.netKredittilsynet wishes to make it clear that Finanstjenester is not a credit institution authorised to provide banking services in Norway, and therefore lacks the licence to accept deposits required under Norwegian law. The company is consequently not subject to Kredittilsynet’s supervisory oversight, nor has Kredittilsynet approved the services offered by the company. The company is therefore not connected to the Norwegian Deposit Guarantee Scheme. Kredittilsynet therefore recommends investors not to enter into agreements with or transfer assets to Finanstjenester.Kredittilsynet's registry http://registry.kredittilsynet.no gives details of all companies authorised to offer banking services in Norway. A list (not complete) of companies operating in the market without a licence can be found on Kredittilsynet's website (http://www.kredittilsynet.no).
