Företaget Brentwood Trust Company har inte tillstånd från Finansinspektionen att bedriva värdepappersrörelse eller annan finansiell verksamhet i Sverige och står alltså inte under FI:s tillsyn.
Företaget presenteras på hemsidor (www.brentwoodtrust.com) utan att det anges något kontor eller någon adress i Sverige.
Företaget uppger följande adress: 8270 Woodland Center Blvd. Waters Tampa, Florida 33614 United States of America.
Representanter för Brentwood Trust Company kontaktar per telefon
investerare i Sverige.
Enligt uppgifter från kunder har representanter för bolaget erbjudit att köpa kundens innehav av aktier i amerikanska OTC-bolag. Kunden ska dock i förskott betala olika avgifter. En sådan avgift är De-Restriction Fee.
Detta är ett så kallat avgiftsbedrägeri (Advance Fee Fraud).

(the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority). Therefore Brentwood Trust Company is not entitled to provide financial services.
Brentwood Trust Company has a website, (www.brentwoodtrust.com), where it claims to have following address: 8270 Woodland Center Blvd. Waters Tampa, Florida 33614 United States of America.
Finansinspektionen has received information that Brentwood Trust Company has approached investors in Sweden by telephone.
Brentwood Trust Company offers the investor to sell his holding of shares in American OTC companies. But, the investor has to pay different kind of fees in advance. One fee is De-Restriction Fee.
It is a matter of Advance Fee Fraud scheme.

The AFM warns against Stockton s.r.o.
The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) is warning investors not to respond to offers of securities services made by Stockton s.r.o. (address used: Habrovky 247/11, 14000, Praha 4, Czech Republic).
Stockton s.r.o. (www.stockton.cz) is offering securities services in the Netherlands, without having the requisite licence to do so nor has Stockton s.r.o. been granted an exemption from this license obligation. The AFM has received complaints about Stockton s.r.o. who has approached persons in the Netherlands for that purpose by telephone.
Institutions offering securities services in the Netherlands without possessing a licence or without having been granted an exemption, are in breach of Section 7(1) of the 1995 Supervision of Securities Transactions Act (Wet toezicht effectenverkeer 1995 - Wte 1995). This public notification is issued in accordance with Section 48n, subsection c, of the Wte 1995.
The AFM advises anyone who wants to do business with an institution or person, to check beforehand in the Institutions Register for securities services whether the institution or person concerned is registered and allowed to offer or perform securities services in the Netherlands. The register can be found on the AFM website. Furthermore the AFM advises investors strongly to check her warning lists beforehand. On

/english.htm (warning lists) three warning lists are shown: (1) institutions and persons without a license, (2) institutions without issuing a prospectus and (3) warning notices issued by foreign supervisory authorities.
